Hi! I'm Emma. 

I am a communications and campaigns specialist, working to protect women’s rights globally.

I write (very) sporadically at my personal blog about books, renovating and kids.

I'm one half of the creative parenting podcast The New Normal (currently on hiatus!), a fortnightly chat about the ins and outs of running a business while being a parent.

I spent several years co-running a furniture design business with my husband called GRATTON. Together, we have renovated four houses in six years: an art deco home in Northcote, a hideous fixer-upper in Coburg and a rundown dump in Brunswick. We are currently working on our dream home: Yarra Yarra, aka the Arnold House, a 1963 Robin Boyd modernist marvel in my hometown of Warrandyte.

We also build people: Archer was born in 2012, Jethro was born in 2014 and Beatrix was born in 2019. They are flippin' awesome.

My favourite biscuit is a Kingston and my favourite word is bubble.
